For standard transfer-taped vinyl decals, follow these steps:

1. Clean the surface. Remove dirt, grease, wax, and other contaminants using a cleaner appropriate for the application surface. Allow it to dry completely.
2. Position your decal. Hold the decal against the surface and use low-tack masking tape to help align it.
3. Prepare the transfer tape. Lay the decal flat and firmly burnish the transfer tape to help the vinyl adhere to it.
4. Remove the backing. Slowly peel the paper liner away while ensuring the vinyl remains attached to the transfer tape.
5. Apply the decal. Carefully position the decal and press it onto the surface, working from the center outward.
6. Burnish thoroughly. Use a squeegee or a firm, smooth-edged application tool to press the decal onto the surface.
7. Remove the transfer tape. Slowly peel the transfer tape back at a sharp angle, checking that all parts of the design remain attached.

Take your time, especially with intricate designs or small lettering.

Standard cut-vinyl decals that require transfer tape are prepared for application with transfer tape.
